Hank’s Fibres: Natural, Nurtured and Built to Last

Hank’s Fibres: Natural, Nurtured and Built to Last

When I started Hank, I knew the materials had to be just as thoughtful as the hands that made the knits. Each fibre I choose is natural, sustainable, and selected for softness, durability, and heirloom quality. I wanted every piece to feel luxurious against the skin, to last for years, and to carry a story of care from the first stitch to the last.

Working with our friends in Peru, I’ve learned to appreciate the nuances of every yarn, the way it stretches, how it drapes, how it responds to time and love. Our alpaca blends, soft merino wools, and other sustainable fibres are not just materials—they’re the foundation of knits that can be worn, loved, and passed down.

Choosing sustainable fibres isn’t just about the environment, it’s about respect. Respect for the artisans, for the traditions that shape their craft, and for the future of the people who will wear Hank pieces. When you touch a Hank knit, you’re touching a story that started in careful selection, nurtured in skilled hands, and finished with patience, pride, and love.

Every fibre is a promise: that your knit will remain soft, beautiful, and timeless. That it will endure. That it is worth treasuring.
